10 Tips on How to Avoid Working Motherhood Burnout 10 Tips on How to Avoid Working Motherhood Burnout Managing a career and family can take a toll on your mental and physical health.  If you want to succeed at working motherhood its important to take care of yourself then everyone else.  Otherwise you may suffer from burnout where you are so exhausted you cant take care of anyone including yourself.But these are words youve heard before, right?  The typical put your air mask first type of advice.The truth is if you continue to take care of everyone elses needs before your own (aka the disease to please) you will burn out.  The good news is there are small changes you can make that will make a BIG impact on your self-care.  Here they are in no particular order. 01Find exercise accountability Getty Images/Michael Kittell No matter how successful you are at achieving healthy living goals during the work week, youll eventually hit a wall. The routine will become unbearable. Thats when its time for a vacation from work.Take enough time off that you can truly get away from the office and demands of home. Cut the cord (or wi-fi connection) and trust that they can handle any emergencies that arise without you. Enjoy your family, and remember that we work to live not live to work. When you make healthy choices a priority you'll improve your quality of life, be able to make better choices both at work and at home and just in general get happier.
